2009 Love Your Body Day Host

LISA ANN WALTER

LISA ANN WALTER is thrilled to be the creator, on-air judge and Executive Producer of the hit Oxygen reality series Dance Your Ass Off which debuted in the summer of 2009. Bringing dance and diet together, the series features talented, full-figured contestants who struggle with their weight and dance to unleash their inner thin. Lisa Ann has been busy on the big screen, as well, co-starring with Ashton Kutcher and Katherine Heigl in the upcoming film Killers, slated for release in 2010. Walter was trained in classical theater at The Catholic University of America which led to Regional and Off-Broadway theater, an internship at D.C.’s prestigious Arena Stage and ultimately...stand-up. Hollywood pursued Lisa Ann and her brand of brash, sexy "Momedy", which resulted in her creating, producing and starring in several sit-coms including Fox’s My Wildest Dreams and ABC's ode to the working Mother, Life's Work. Miss Walter - as she insists on being called when producing/directing - is proud of the success of her creations which include: The web-sensation Gonzo Girlz – RipeTV’s #1 show, now in pilot production with Lion’s Gate and Tantamount Entertainment; The Chick Show – another web hit; Soul Survivor – The James Brown Documentary; and The Naughty Show – all chick stand-up live tour and DVD (Eagle Rock Entertainment). Lisa also enjoys her adventures in philanthropic showmanship as well as socio-cultural satire in the creation and performance of song parodies for the wildly popular What A Pair event benefiting breast cancer research at the John Wayne Cancer Institute, and as a regular guest drag queen/host(ess) at West Hollywood’s “Legendary Bingo,” as well as acting as a Celebrity Auctioneer for events such as Phase One and Hollywood Bag Ladies Lupus Luncheon. Best known for her fan-favorite performances of Chessy in The Parent Trap and Bobbie (“Quit looking at my ass!”) in the Richard Gere/Jennifer Lopez starrer, Shall We Dance, Lisa also enjoyed working with Jim Carrey and Jennifer Aniston in Bruce Almighty as well as Spielberg’s War of the Worlds and is currently cornering the market on playing MILF-y, bitter divorcees in Nip/Tuck and Drillbit Taylor starring Owen Wilson. Lisa won critical acclaim for her starring role as news producer Rachel Glass in the Bravo drama Breaking News and is the proud recipient of 4 Independent Film Festival Best Actress awards for playing the title character in The Trouble With Dee Dee co-starring Kurtwood Smith. She relished being a frequent guest on ABC’s Politically Incorrect and a judge on The Next Best Thing and is lucky to have worked with friends Sherri Shepherd (in Emeril) and Whoopi Goldberg (in Eddie). Lisa Ann enjoys ballroom and salsa, reading and heated trivia contests with her mother while watching Jeopardy. She is most proud of her life as a working Hollywood Mom of four kids – and the fact that her stomach is still reasonably flat after being the clown-car they all came out of.
